The A57 through the Dark Peak is properly dramatic: sharp bends, grit-stone edges, and long sight-lines. Pack the car the night before — you'll want to be away by 8am to beat the motorcycle traffic.
Quieter than the Peak, closer than the Cotswolds. We like this one in an EV — the B4232 regenerates nicely and you'll leave Malvern Priory with a full battery.
